Rules of the MASTERS PUJAUT 30

The Masters Pujaut 30 is a men & women's individual tournament, reserved for fighters 40 and older.

- Begining of the competition : 11h30 AM
- End of the competition : 5h00 AM (about).
Schedule might changes, it will depend on the number of competitors entered.

Article 1 : Registration
Commitment is 10€ for registration before october 13, 2012.
It's possible to register on tournament day (from 9h00) but charges will then be 20€.
Regulation in EUROS, in cash or by check to the Judo Club Pujaut.

Article 2 : Sporting rules

General Rules : Sporting rules are those which are applied by the International Judo Federation (Veterans Commission), within the last World Championships Masters IFJ.

2.1. Conditions for participation
Each Federation affiliated with the Federation International Judo Federation may enter as many athletes as they wish. An athlete may participate in only one weight class, one where he enrolled (unless agreed by the group organizer).
Fighters must be at least 40 years on 1 January of the year, at least two years of license and be at least holders of the Green Belt.
The fighters with dual nationality can only represent one country
The fighters who enrolled for an official competition IFJ International (excluding Masters) during the 2 last seasons will not participate.

2.2. Age & duration of fighting

Men :

10-minutes rest between two fights

2.3. Weight Categories
Men :
-66 kg ; -73 kg ; -81 kg ; -90 kg ; +90 kg
Women :
-57 kg ; -63 kg ; +63 kg

2.4. Judogi
The judogi must comply with the feature given by the FFJDA.
The blue judogis are accepted.
Advertisements on judogis are allowed within the rules given by the FFJDA.
The old-fashioned numbers are allowed.

2.5. Competition's formula
- For 3 or 4 athletes : Poules.
- For 5 athletes and more : poules system and playoffs with a second chance double chart .
- For 1 or 2 athletes : the organization reserves itself the right to make law consistent combinations of age categories and / or weight
Coach authorized
Referees level inter-regional.

2.6. "Golden score"
"Golden Score" of 2 minutes in case of equality.
If tied at the end of this extension, the victory will be awarded to the referies' decision.


Article 3 : check weight and controls licenses

The day of competition: the weighing and inspection will be held in the gymnasium Jean Alesi between 10h00 and 11h00 AM or on Saturday between 6h00 and 8h30 PM.
No weight tolerance.

Control of documents and licenses to provide :
- For French judoka: Passport with two stamps of license of the current season and medical certificate less than one year old, authorizing the practice of judo competition. Minimum Green Belt. .
- For all judokas, medical certificate less than one year, authorizing the practice of judo competition. Failing to present a medical certificate, they fight under their full personal responsibility. - For French judoka: Passport with two stamps of license, that of the current season
- For foreign judoka: evidence to demonstrate that they are in good standing with their Federation necessarily affiliated to International Judo Federation,
Insurance: It is for each fighter to make his own liability insurance and personal injury, if it has not already subscribed through its Federation or through the club, either through License-federal insurance. The organizers decline all responsibility. In no case did the organization own insurance for fighting for injury . .
No fighting will be allowed to take part in if they can not prove that he belongs to a club affiliated to the Federation, which is affiliated to the International Federation.


Article 4 : Awards

Awards are won for the podium in each category of age and weight.
If a grouping is decided by the organization, a fighter can not win an award in another category than these he enrolled for. He will award the prizes of his classes and no other one (award accumulation is not possible).
If a fighter is alone in its class, it will be considered as the winner and will receive the gold medal and prize winner in its category. Even if it participates in the competition in another category and he is eliminated (grouping categories decided by the organization).


Article 5 : Security

Security will be provided, on and around the tatami by a rescue team and a doctor.
